RCT has developed the RCTClean 3.0gr Solution, a patented, retrofit solution that improves operating efficiencies and cuts pollutant emissions of 2SLB engines used in the gathering and transmission of natural gas.
Cost-Effective Engine Emissions Reduction
RCT has developed the RCTClean 3.0gr Solution, a patented, retrofit solution that improves operating efficiencies and cuts pollutant emissions of 2SLB engines used in the gathering and transmission of natural gas.
The RCTClean 3.0gr Solution: reduces NOx and methane emissions by enhancing the four major processes that affect combustion on an engine:
1) Enhanced Ignition System;
2) Enhanced Fuel-Air Mixing;
3) Enhanced Air for Lean Burn; and
4) Enhanced Engine Controls for safety and reliability.
RCTClean 3.0gr Solution for GMV-10:
The RCTClean 3.0gr Solution was validated through testing at the Colorado State University Energy Institute Powerhouse Campus on a Cooper Bessemer GMV-4 engine. The new EPA Good Neighbor Plan (GNP) and new pending Greenhouse Gas Reporting Rule (GHGRR) for methane emissions reduction influenced the RCTClean 3.0gr Solution development goals. The design goals for The RCTClean 3.0gr Solution were:
RCT has met or exceeded all of its design goals for our RCTClean 3.0gr Solution!
RCTClean 3.0gr Solution Proof-of-Concept:
RCT continues to develop new advanced technology solutions that can provide even greater emissions reduction and cost savings to the pipeline industry.
Design & Development
RCT utilizes high-performance cloud-computing (HPCC) and the most advanced computational fluid dynamics (CFD) and chemical kinetics (CK) simulation software for rapid new product design evaluation.
Advanced Manufacturing
RCT also utilizes state-of-the-art additive manufacturing for production of RCTClean critical components. This approach to new product development enables a much shorter development cycle and the ability to scale-up manufacturing production to support market demand.
